Another cold night for the area

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – It was a cold and windy Saturday for the entire area. A cold front pushed through the area, bringing very breezy conditions. Wind gusts today ranged between 20-30 mph. Tonight we will see clear skies, until after midnight. Clouds will increase. Lows tonight will be in the upper teens along the border belt, where a cold weather advisory has been issued. Across the Pee Dee and Grand Strand lows will be in the low 20s.

Sunday will bring increasing clouds, as upper level energy passes through the area. Clouds will increase from mid morning to late afternoon. Temperatures will be very cold, as highs struggle to make it out of the 30s. As we head into Sunday night lows will be in the low to mid 20s area wide.

Monday through Wednesday, we will see a nice warming trend with highs on Monday in the upper 40s to near 50. Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the 60s area wide. It is possible locations in the Pee Dee and border belt reach 70 degrees on Wednesday. Clouds will start to increase, as we enter an unsettled weather pattern heading into the end of the week and weekend. A few signals that winter is not done with the area just yet.
