MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Construction began Monday on the new South Strand Hospital during the facility’s groundbreaking ceremony.
The $220 million hospital is part of Grand Strand Health’s community extension plan. The facility will be located across from South Strand Medical Center on Highway 17 Bypass.
Grand Strand Health CEO Mark Sims said the hospital represents a step forward in health and safety for the community.
