(WPDE) — The proposed project to extend Highway 22 in Horry County is set to be discussed over a series of community meetings in the upcoming weeks.
The U.S Army Corps of Engineers is hosting the meetings to encourage open discussion between community members and the project team in preparation for an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
THE SC-22 EXTENSION PROJECT
The SC-22 Extension project would develop a new roadway to provide congestion relief, improve hurricane evacuation and improve access to services East and West of the Waccamaw River. Most of the proposed project is primarily located in the southern half of Horry County.
