HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Five Horry County officers were recognized for their work in a 2020 abduction case.
The Horry County Police Department announced that the five officers received the Medal of Honor for their selfless actions during a kidnapping and armed robbery case.
Officers Fletcher, Koupash, Treitler, Glazier and Wydra “responded quickly, and prevented four armed assailants from barricading in at their location and taking any other adverse actions against the victim they had abducted,” the department said.
HCPD said the officers forced entry and caught the suspects off guard to successfully free the victim and subsequently take the armed suspects into custody without incident…
