Expert warns Myrtle Beach community about legal but lethal drugs targeting youth

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A substance abuse prevention expert traveled to Myrtle Beach to warn the community about legal but potentially lethal products sold at gas stations and liquor stores.

The community event, hosted by Myrtle Beach Coordinated Effort at Ground Zero on Chester Street, focused on ways to protect youth from products being sold as legal but are potentially unsafe, especially for teens.

Officer Jermaine “Tall Cop” Galloway, who has worked in substance abuse prevention for over 20 years, gave the community a presentation on what he calls ‘hard drugs’ sold legally in vapes and gummy snacks…
