HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A recent study of shrimp dishes at 44 randomly selected seafood restaurants along the Grand Strand showed that most places are likely serving farm-raised, imported shrimp, rather than American wild-caught shrimp, according to SeaD Consulting.
Genetic testing completed between Feb. 6-10 and found that only 25%, or 11 of the 44 restaurants tested, were serving authentic American wild-caught shrimp; the other 33 were found to be serving farm-raised, imported shrimp.

- Cape Fear Seafood Company in North Myrtle Beach
- Chesapeake House (Steaks, Spirits & Seafood) in Myrtle Beach
- Crab Catchers in Little River
- Flynn’s Irish Tavern in North Myrtle Beach
- Groupers at the Pier in Myrtle Beach
