Myrtle Beach-area bars rush to meet S.C. alcohol-server training deadline

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Businesses in Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach are working to complete a new mandatory alcohol server training before a March 2 deadline, with noncompliance risking fines or loss of liquor licenses.

The state training requirement was passed last May and took effect at the beginning of 2026.
