Myrtle Beach begins renourishment project to replace sand lost to storms, erosion

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Sand is once again being added to Myrtle Beach’s shoreline as a beach renourishment project gets underway to replace sand lost to storms and erosion.

The sand is being pulled from the ocean floor miles out in the Atlantic Ocean and pushed through pipes to the coastline.
