‘It was unacceptable’: Mom speaks out after Conway daycare worker charged with pushing toddler

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Mom expresses her feelings after daycare at a church in Conway fired a teacher for allegedly pushing a child.

Officers with the Conway Police Department responded around 4:32 p.m. Feb. 25 to Mercy Baptist Church at the 2800 block of Fourth Avenue.

Alyssa Morlang, 22, of Conway, who worked at the church’s daycare, pushed the child off a raised deck area around 10 a.m. that day, and the child fell face-first to the ground, according to police documents.

One of the witnesses the police spoke to said that Morlang got upset with the child, who was playing with yogurt…
