About 10,000 people gathered early on Saturday afternoon, March 7, to attend the Surfside Beach BBQ Festival. Food trucks, live music, and the arts and crafts market came together for a day of community celebration.
The smell of hickory, sriracha and barbecue filled the beach air as lines formed for each food truck in attendance. Visitors were encouraged to try the different barbecue trucks and vote on who had the best tasing barbecue at the beach.
Smoking Down South won first place, followed up by BBQ House, Surfside Beach taking silver and Ruffage coming in third place.
