HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The South Carolina Attorney General has cleared Horry County to seek voter approval on a new 1% local option sales and use tax.
If approved by voters, the tax is projected to raise about $130 million per year, with 71% of that revenue directed toward property tax relief.
