Nicotine pouches grow in popularity among young people; doctors warn of unknown risks

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Nicotine pouches have surged in popularity in recent years, but physicians say the risks associated with the products are not fully understood — particularly among young people.

The products, which include brands such as Zyn and Velo, were first introduced to the U.S. market in 2014 through a test launch in Colorado.
