Solicitor: Longs man sentenced on 2024, 2025 drug charges

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Authorities have sentenced a Horry County man to two decades in prison.

Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson’s office announced that on Monday, Christopher Vereen, 32, of Longs, pleaded guilty to first-offense trafficking of fentanyl, four to 14 grams, and second-offense possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

A judge sentenced Vereen to 15 years in prison for the trafficking charge and five years for the possession with intent to distribute charges.
