CONWAY, S.C. – No.16 Coastal Carolina used a six-run fourth inning and a dominant outing on the mound to run-rule James Madison, 10-0, in seven innings on Saturday at Springs Brooks Stadium.
The Chanticleers broke the scoreless tie in the fourth inning and never looked back, plating six runs in the frame to take control. Blagen Pado got things started with a bunt single that brought home Walker Mitchell from third. With the bases loaded later in the inning, Brice Estep was hit by a pitch to force in another run and extend the lead to 2-0.
Pado later scored on a passed ball to make it 3-0 before Trace Mazon delivered the big swing of the inning, launching a three-run home run, his fourth of the season, to push the Coastal advantage to 6-0…
