Second phase of $16.2 million Myrtle Beach water line upgrade ready to start

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — The second phase of a multi-million water infrastructure project is set to begin this week in Myrtle Beach.

City officials said phase two of a 48-inch water line installation begins Monday from 33rd Ave. N to the tunnel at Marina Park near the Claire Chapin Epps Family YMCA.

Residents and visitors can expect to see construction activity along the east side of Wild Iris Drive, Marina Parkway and Highway 17 as upgrades are made to the city’s main transmission line…
