(WPDE) — State forestry officials have announced a statewide outdoor burning ban, effective at 4 p.m. on Friday, citing dangerous weather conditions that significantly increase wildfire risk.
The order prohibits all outdoor burning in every county, including the burning of yard debris, prescribed burns, campfires, bonfires and other recreational fires in unincorporated areas.
However, the ban does not extend to cooking fires or those contained within approved enclosures such as portable outdoor fireplaces, chimineas, or permanent fire pits constructed from noncombustible materials and compliant with state fire codes…
