The Surfside Beach Planning, Building & Zoning Department has released its latest monthly report. The Planning Commission will hold four public hearings at its regular April meeting:
- Zone change from C‑2 to C‑1 at Hwy 17 and Surfside Drive
- Zone change from PL to C‑1 for a Sandy Lane parcel behind Town Hall
- Zoning code update to exempt municipal signs from private sign rules
- Code clarification on the Director’s authority to adjust lot coverage for legal non‑conforming parcels
The Commission is also revising the Tree Ordinance, considering two monthly meetings, and updating its bylaws. Online permitting is being planned for next year’s budget.
