Hundreds of eager children ages 3-years-old and under, along with their parents, waited with anticipation for Kenneth Hemingway to say the magic words.
And when Hemingway said it was time to go, the young children let out a collective squeal. Then they rushed the field. In less than three minutes, about 2,500 plastic Easter eggs were scooped up.
The event billed as South Carolina’s largest Easter egg hunt was off to a rousing start on Saturday, March 28 at the Billy Gardner Complex in Conway.
