A Horry County Schools elementary student received a concussion after falling from playground equipment that was under construction, according to a lawsuit.
Heather Lee, the mother of the student, claims in the lawsuit that the child was allowed to play on the equipment at River Oaks Elementary, 700 Augusta Plantation Drive in the Myrtle Beach area, even though it was under construction and school employees were instructed by leadership to not allow students to enter the playground, the suit said. The playground area was not barricaded or roped off to limit student access, the suit said.
