Two Men and a Truck host essential care items campaign for New Directions of Horry County

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two Men and a Truck is jumpstarting its 11th annual Movers for Moms campaign to help collect essential care items for the New Directions of Horry County nonprofit.

From now until May 5, the campaign is setting out to collect essential care items for New Directions of Horry County, which is a local nonprofit that helps people and families recover from homelessness, poverty, and addiction by providing basic needs, resources, and community support.

The 2026 goal is to collect 8,000 items. Below is a list of example essential donation items:

  • Socks
  • Journals and pens
  • Coffee mugs
  • Coffee, tea, and sugar
  • Body wash and lotion
  • Face wash
  • Razors and shaving cream
  • Hair brushes and combs
  • Deodorant
  • Hair spray and hair gel

Community members can drop off donations at several locations along the Grand Strand, which are listed below.
