HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Residents packed the Carolina Forest Recreation Center Tuesday night for a public hearing on a proposed expansion of Horry County’s landfill along Highway 90.
“I’m upset, I know that other people who are here to speak are upset, and I sure hope that our voices are going to be heard,” one resident said.
While no decisions were made, residents showed up to fight for the more than 100 acres of wetlands that the expansion project puts in jeopardy.
