Woman arrested after North Carolina teen drowns in South Carolina hotel pool

SOUTH CAROLINA — A woman has been charged following the drowning death of a North Carolina teenager at a Myrtle Beach hotel pool, according to authorities.

Police said Brittany Neely, 32, is facing four counts of unlawful conduct toward a child in connection with the incident.

The charges stem from the death of 14-year-old Neveah Neely, who was pulled from the pool at the Sandbar Hotel on South Ocean Boulevard last week. She was taken to a hospital, where she died around 8:15 p.m…
