LITTLE RIVER, SC (WMBF) – A study commissioned by the Southern Shrimp Alliance found that only 25% of randomly selected Grand Strand restaurants tested were serving fresh, locally caught shrimp.
SeaD Consulting conducted the study in early February, randomly selecting 44 restaurants between Little River and Murrells Inlet. The team DNA tested shrimp served at each location.
