Wanted man barricades himself inside Georgetown hotel

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — The U.S. Marshals were called after a wanted man barricaded himself inside a Georgetown hotel on Thursday.

Lorenzo Griffin, of Fogel Street within the city limits of Horry County, was wanted out of Horry County for armed robbery, kidnapping, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

At 6:45 Thursday morning, officers with the U.S. Marshals Service, along with the Georgetown Police Department and the sheriff’s office, tried to capture Griffin at the Georgetown Inn, which is in the city limits of Georgetown…
