The backstory:

James Hutson, 38, of Villa Park, appeared in court Friday on multiple charges, including aggravated fleeing and eluding a police officer, a Class 4 felony; driving while his license was suspended, a fourth-to-ninth offense, also a Class 4 felony; and several petty traffic violations, according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m., when a DuPage County sheriff’s deputy spotted a Mercury Grand Marquis with license plates allegedly registered to a different vehicle near Ogden Avenue and Naper Boulevard.
