A routine Wednesday morning grocery run in a north suburban Chicago parking lot turned into a scene that would make any bystander’s jaw drop. Just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Morton Grove police responded to reports of a driver who had struck multiple parked vehicles and a pedestrian in the Aldi parking lot located in the 7900 block of Golf Road.
What followed was a tense, multi-car wreck that left one man trapped underneath a vehicle while shoppers, firefighters, and good Samaritans scrambled to help.
According to police, the driver had pulled into a parking space, attempted to turn southbound, and in the process struck a pedestrian and three parked cars.
