Man Pinned Under Black Mercedes in Morton Grove Aldi Parking Lot Somehow Walks Away With Minor Injuries

A routine Wednesday morning grocery run in a north suburban Chicago parking lot turned into a scene that would make any bystander’s jaw drop. Just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Morton Grove police responded to reports of a driver who had struck multiple parked vehicles and a pedestrian in the Aldi parking lot located in the 7900 block of Golf Road.

What followed was a tense, multi-car wreck that left one man trapped underneath a vehicle while shoppers, firefighters, and good Samaritans scrambled to help.

According to police, the driver had pulled into a parking space, attempted to turn southbound, and in the process struck a pedestrian and three parked cars. The collision sent shockwaves through the strip mall parking lot, and witnesses said the sound of impact was so jarring it initially registered as an explosion…
