The La Grange Fire Department promoted two veteran firefighters to leadership roles, filling vacancies in the department’s command structure.
Chris Cox, a 19-year veteran, was sworn in as captain. Chris Conrad, who has served 20 years full-time with the La Grange Fire Department, was sworn in as lieutenant.
Both men were sworn in during the June 8 village board meeting with family members present. The promotions, approved April 6 by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, mark the first leadership changes in the department in recent years…
