Carnival rides, live music, and summer fun came together for Burbank’s annual Party in the Park, celebrating an early Fourth of July and America’s 250th anniversary. The Burbank Park District hosted the event, with the City of Burbank, Stickney Township, Burbank Chamber of Commerce, and dozens of local businesses sponsoring its fourth modern iteration. From bands to slushies to ponies, families had plenty of activities to fill their day whether they attended Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
Fans of classic rides like the Ferris wheel and Spinning Teacups spun into the excitement, while those seeking a high-flying adventure strapped into the Riptide, Zipper, or swings. After heart-pumping action, visitors could try their hand at scattered games and attractions to win plushies or goldfish by tossing a ping pong ball into a fishbowl.
The animal fun continued with pony rides for kids and a petting zoo filled with sheep and goats. Bands and local businesses kept attendees entertained, fed, and hydrated as they relaxed under a giant tent near the stage to regain energy for the next round of action.
