DuPage judge orders Oswego man held

An Oswego man accused of punching a woman at a park in Wheaton earlier this month was ordered detained by a DuPage County judge.

The DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office alleges that 48-year-old Marvin Carter was on pretrial release in an earlier case involving battery, resisting arrest and damage to state-supported property.

The state’s attorney’s office says Carter punched a woman as she stood up after sitting on a park bench near the Illinois Prairie Path for no discernible reason…
