Following his success with Hillgrove Tap, a restaurateur has a new project in the works.
It is being reported the space that was Salero’s Pizzeria at 821 Burlington Avenue is being turned into Alano Ristorante, an Italian concept from Chris Elsey. Salero closed in early January this year, and Elsey with his team recently acquired the space. Right now, they are hoping for an October opening date.
Elsey was a managing partner for Francesca’s Restaurants for 30 years. Now independent, he is debuting this project with a restaurant partner after opening Hillgrove Tap locations in Western Springs and Tinley Park. Elsey said he just wanted to bring an Italian option to the suburb…
