BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WTVO) — A suburban Chicago police officer has been placed on administrative leave while authorities investigate whether he improperly used a license plate reader system that has drawn increasing scrutiny over privacy concerns nationwide.
According to NewsNation, an officer with the Bloomingdale Police Department was placed on paid administrative leave after an internal audit uncovered that he may have made unauthorized use of the department’s Flock Safety camera network.
