As roadway construction progresses on the Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Project between I-55 and the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88), the Illinois Tollway is opening new lanes to provide additional capacity and shifting traffic into winter configurations.
This week between I-55 and Ogden Avenue new lanes are now open on I-294 providing six lanes of traffic in both directions.
Later this month traffic will be shifted into winter configuration on I-294 between Ogden Avenue and the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88). Drivers will have access to five northbound lanes on I-294 between Ogden Avenue and Cermak Road.
