Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 Special Agents arrested 36-year-old Timothy A. Waldvogel of Joliet, IL, following a fatal crash in Will County earlier this year.
On April 5, 2026, at approximately 3:14 a.m., ISP Troopers responded to a crash on I-55 southbound just south of Bluff Road in Channahon. Waldvogel was driving a Dodge Challenger southbound near Bluff Road and struck the rear of a gray Mazda. The driver of the Mazda, 26-year-old Melissa E. Prosser of Bourbonnais, IL, was transported to an area hospital and pronounced deceased. Waldvogel and his passenger were transported to an area hospital with injuries. …
