Source: IHSA drops legal fight against Montini Catholic wrestler

LOMBARD, Ill. — The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) has dropped its legal fight over high school wrestler Harrison Konder’s transfer from Downers Grove North High School to Montini Catholic High School, a family source told WGN News.

According to the family member, their lawyer told them Tuesday he had been in touch with IHSA attorneys, who told him the state has decided not to fight the issue and further.

The family member said the federal injunction that put a restraining order in place against the IHSA, allowing Konder to wrestle, will remain in place until the end of the wrestling season. Once the season ends, the lawsuit will be dismissed.
