Polar Bear Plunge raises more than $80K for families in medical need
CHICAGO — When the water temperature is at 34 degrees, one might wonder, “Why go in?”
For Grant Boyadjian, it comes down to caring — even in the cold.
Boyadjian and the Chicago Polar Bear Club celebrated their 23rd annual Polar Bear Plunge Saturday, where more than 850 people came together at the Oak Street Beach to dive in, and raise more than $80,000 for Chicago-area families battling serious medical conditions.
