Time has passed but the deaths of five inside Lane Bryant remain unsolved.

Feb. 2 marked 16 years since the deaths.

Tinley Park police said a man posing as a delivery driver pulled a gun on the women and forced them into a back room where he shot them.

“These were women, they were someone’s wives, mother, someone’s sisters,” Edna Hall said.

The store is now gone and a new retailer has taken its place.

“I had stopped shopping in this area for some time because you just didn’t know what was going to happen,” Hall said.

Residents and community activists came together on Sunday to announce a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the killings.
