Retired police chief warns rise in migrant crime likely to increase as they are aware there are no repercussions and are immediately released
Law enforcement officials in the greater Chicago area are sounding the alarm on a concerning trend of migrants being recruited for crime sprees, particularly in suburban neighborhoods. Recent data reveals a surge in criminal activity, with robbery increasing by 23%, car theft by 37%, and theft by 3%.
Retired Riverside Police Chief, Tom Weitzel, has shed light on the growing problem of migrant-involved crimes spreading from Chicago to the surrounding suburbs. According to Weitzel, migrants are being actively recruited and trained to carry out criminal activities, orchestrated by organized criminal enterprises.
Upon arrival at designated landing zones in Chicago, migrants are allegedly equipped with phones and coerced into targeting suburban malls, shopping areas, and entertainment zones for criminal acts. Weitzel emphasized that migrants are provided with transportation and detailed instructions, as many are unfamiliar with suburban locations and would otherwise struggle to navigate the area.
