CHICAGO — One person died and six others were injured overnight after a crash on the city’s Southwest Side.
According to Chicago police, just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a car accident involving two black SUVs in the 4200 block of South Pulaski Road in the Archer Heights neighborhood.
Police still had about a two-block stretch of South Pulaski Road blocked off after sunrise Sunday morning as they continued to process evidence from the mangled wreckage of the crash. Pieces of the cars involved were scattered across the street on South Pulaski Road and West Ann Lurie Place.

An unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene from traumatic body injuries.
Additionally, police say, a female adult was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, two adult men and two adult women were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition and another adult man was taken to Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
