Rockford car dealership owner kidnapped, killed in Little Village, family says

CHICAGO —A Rockford family believes their slain relative was kidnapped and later dumped in Chicago over the weekend.

On Saturday, Chicago police found an adult man in an alley in a Little Village with gunshot wounds to the head and back. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man as Crisoforo Osorio-Gonzalez.

According to Osorio-Gonzalez’s business partner, he took customers on a test drive Friday night from the car dealership that they had started together.

“He’d sell cars. It didn’t matter if he didn’t know you. He was happy. A happy person. He treated customers like he had known them for 20 or 25 years,” said the business partner who did not wish to be identified.
