A McKinley Park man received a hefty 50-year prison sentence following his conviction for the 2016 murder of a 17-year-old boy from Brighton Park, according to the Illinois Attorney General’s office. Sergio Gonzalez, 29, was found guilty of first-degree murder for the fatal drive-by shooting of David Gonzalez, who was not related to him, on the Southwest Side of Chicago. The Chicago Tribune reported the sentencing took place on Friday.
