HSHS reaches tentative agreement with Aetna

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Hospital Sisters Health System has announced they have come to an agreement with Aetna insurance.

The tentative agreement covers patients at all HSHS healthcare facilities in Illinois. Coverage would have been terminated for patients with Aetna insurance on Monday if the two companies did not come to an agreement.

“We are committed to providing high-quality care for residents in Illinois and are grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve Aetna members,” HSHS said in a statement.

The hospital group said they will reach out to patients to say they can continue to receive care and reschedule any appointments that were paused.
