Chicago Police Investigate Two Early Morning Home Invasions in West Lawn

Early Thursday morning on the Southwest Side of Chicago, residents experienced a surge of violence as two separate home invasions took place, sparking concern and an active police investigation. According to The Chicago Tribune, the first incident occurred on the 6200 block of South Kolin Avenue in West Lawn around 1:25 a.m. In this case, a 56-year-old woman and a man aged 20 were followed into a residence by two armed suspects demanding property. A gun was recovered after a shootout inside the home, though thankfully, no injuries were reported.
