CHICAGO – A man has died after being shot in Woodlawn Monday night.
Chicago police said the shooting happened just after 8 p.m. in the 6600 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue.
According to police, a 56-year-old man was sitting in a front room of a home when shots were fired from the sidewalk.

The man was hit in the torso and taken to University of Chicago Hospital where he died, according to investigators.
No arrests have been made and Area One Detectives are investigating.
