7-Eleven clerk robbed at knifepoint in Park Ridge

PARK RIDGE, Ill. — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Park Ridge overnight.

The robbery happened around 1:10 a.m. Friday at a 7-Eleven/Mobile gas station located at 814 Higgins Road.

According to police, a man walked into the store and confronted the clerk while displaying a knife. He demanded that the clerk give him the money in the register and the clerk’s wallet.

Police said the offender then fled out of the store and was last seen running westbound.

He is described as a man between 5’07”– 5’09” wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and a black puffy hooded jacket with fur around the hood, blue jeans, black shoes and white, rubber gloves, carrying a gray colored backpack.
