Winds could reach up to 40 mph by late Sunday, as cooler air settles in. This change is expected to bring lake-effect showers and the possibility of frost as early as Sunday night.

Thunderstorms Possible Late Tonight

Before the cold front, northeastern Illinois and northwest Indiana could see isolated thunderstorms through midnight. The activity has primarily focused over Lake Michigan and southern Wisconsin, with scattered showers expected to continue.
