Cheryl Nelson expressed disappointment after the Countryside City Council denied her request to rent out vacant land at 6260 Joliet Road. Nelson sought a special use permit to lease her vacant property at 6260 Joliet Road for temporary truck storage and a contract office, but the council voted 6-0 against it on Sept. 25, citing the need for the property to be paved.
