The Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears gave fans an exhilarating, college-style game atmosphere in Week 8, as two rookie quarterbacks – Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams – battled in a nail-biting showdown. With just over four minutes left, Williams led a 10-play, 62-yard drive for Chicago, culminating in a 1-yard touchdown to push the Bears up 15-12 with only 25 seconds remaining.
But the final moments belonged to No. 2 overall draft pick Daniels, who had one last answer for No. 1 pick Williams. With only three seconds left on the clock, Daniels took the snap, evaded defenders for an incredible 13 seconds, and launched a pass into the end zone. Bears’ Tyrique Stevenson attempted to disrupt the play but inadvertently tipped the ball into the hands of an open Noah Brown, sealing Washington’s dramatic 18-15 win .
