Cold snap: Chicago area to experience subzero wind chills

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Bundle up because the next 48 hours will be bitterly cold.

Following the morning snow burst, temperatures have begun to plummet and northwest winds remain steady at 12 to 25 mph. Wind chills will dip below zero, falling to as low as 10 below in the Chicago area, the National Weather Service (NWS) says.
