ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. — A probe into the deadly police shooting of a man outside his home in Elk Grove Village in late 2023 has found no wrongdoing on the part of the officers.
Following the deadly shooting of 24-year-old Jack Murray on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, an investigation conducted by the Major Case Assistance Team (MCAT), the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Office of the Illinois State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor found that the actions of the officers involved “were consistent with all applicable laws and regulations,” officials from the Village of Elk Grove announced Thursday.
