Suburban Kohl’s stores closing by this weekend

CHICAGO — The doors are closing for good this week at two Chicagoland Kohl’s locations after the department store chain announced that it would be closing a handful of stores around the country earlier this year.

In early January, Kohl’s Corp announced that it would be closing 27 locations in 15 states around the country that were “underperforming.”

While many of the stores set to close were in California, two Chicagoland locations were on the list.

According to the company, the two Chicagoland stores that are set to close are located in Plainfield, in the 11800 block of South Route 59, and West Dundee, at Spring Hill Mall in the 3000 block of Spring Hill Road…
